Background:

Bruce was surrendered to a rescue in Trois-Rivières in October of 2023 after biting a cat with which he cohabitated. Heightened prey drive can be a common issue in bully breeds, as well as “primitive” breeds like Akita Inus. Bruce was scheduled for euthanasia on the 11th of November due to shelter overpopulation, and thankfully, Passion for Paws was able to pull him from that shelter and bring him to Montréal, where he is currently.

Bruce is dog-reactive, never learned to walk on leash, and is wary of humans, but is working very hard to get better for his forever family. He is a young, food-motivated dog that has an incredible amount of potential for a caring, patient owner to discover.
