Level 3 (Coming Soon!)

Great question! In the world of canine behaviour, we like to refer to treats on a scale that indicates how valuable a treat is to a dog in a given moment.
• For training simple commands in a distraction-free environment, feel free to use the dog’s everyday kibble (level 1) as the reward.
• For more demanding tasks, commands in a moderately challenging environment, or if your dog isn’t very motivated by their kibble, level 2 treats are the way to go. These treats will be far more valuable than their usual food, but shouldn’t be used every day, as to not decrease their value.
• For the most challenging environments and tasks (like when you’re competing with squirrels for your pup’s attention), it’s time to bring out the big guns. These are our level 3 treats. Anything that the dog attributes a high value to, like hot dogs or cheese, can work as a level 3 treat, albeit in moderate quantities.

In order to reduce food waste, we first select ingredients that are less likely to be eaten by humans, but still packed full of nutrients and flavours that dogs can’t get enough of! They are then dehydrated, separated into bite-sized pieces, and packed into food-safe bags.
All of our treats are produced by hand, and are made without fillers, or artificial flavours, colours, and preservatives by a MAPAQ-certified chef.

According to the American Kennel Club, a dog’s caloric intake from treats should make up no more than 10% of their total daily needs. So, if you have an adult German Shepherd, and they eat 1400 calories total in a day, you can, in theory, safely give your dog up to 140 calories in treats per day.
On average, our treats contain between 1.5-3 calories per piece. They’re low in fat, high in protein, contain no added sodium or sugars, and were designed to be as nutritious as they are delicious
Please note, however, that these are treats, and are not designed to meet your dog’s full spectrum of nutritional needs. Consult your vet to ensure that your best bud has a healthy and balanced diet.
